Sleep deprivation does all sorts of things

Mainly walking around quite dumb.

Everything is right;

I'm so glad he's turned up now

And not on the night of nights.

They say the weather will play up

So glad that's no worry now;

Just the boys out on the town

The Cup Finals still on anyhow.

All of them are beautiful

Everyone's a miracle, unique unto their own;

A split second either way

And a different human sown.

These little hands will grow to be, 
big and strong and helpful, you see. 
These teeny-tiny little toes, 
will carry this body that grows and grows. 
This precious, sweet and radiant smile, 
will help me go the extra mile. 
.....And seep inside, a soul and heart, 
Destined to be special from the start. 
Sometimes you get discouraged,
because I am so small
And leave my little fingerprints
On furniture and walls.
But everyday I'm growing
And soon will be so tall
That all these little fingerprints
Will be difficult to recall.

These babies have a smell of their own

Sometimes not too pleasant;

But sweet and talcy from their bath

There really is no time like the present.

They are a gift from God

Of that there is no doubt;

We are here to look after them

And show them what it's all about.

Each and every step

Is what they learn from us;

So do it well and keep it straight

And they'll do just fine with very little fuss.

Our grandson was born this morning

He is so very tiny;

He can almost fit in the palm of my hand

But he isn't very whiney.

Seeing as how he's turned up early

And not feeling very well;

The doctors have said with lots of love

He will turn out just swell!
